Lone Ranger
Hi-Yo, Silver, Away! - 1981




A Dynamite Records foi fundada em 1980 por Clive Jarrett com a ajuda de seus amigos Sly & Robbie, Clive Buisy e Anthony Waldron, também conhecido como Lone Ranger. Sua meta era lançar músicas de boa qualidade e capturar a essência. O centro desta gravadora eram Sly & Robbie e The Taxi Gang.
Gravaram principalmente no Channel One com três dos melhores engenheiros criativos: Bunny (Tom Tom), Barnabas e Soljie Hamilton.
O primeiro single gravado foi 'Don't Mess With Dread' por Lone Ranger e controlada por Robbie Shakespeare.
Seguindo a resposta forte a este single, Robbie Shakespeare contou com Clive, que achou que a Dynamite Records estava pronta para lançá-lo.
Os primeiros dois artistas que gravaram para a Dynamite foram Carlton Livingston e Lone Ranger.
O primeiro álbum de Lone Ranger pela Dynamite Records foi "Hi-Ho, Silver, Away!".
Em 1981 Beswick (Bebo) Philips (amigo de longa data de Clive), uniu-se a equipe.

Rosemarie - 1981




"Rosemarie" foi gravado com The Revolutionaries no Channel One alguns meses depois que o álbum "M16" foi lançado com o Root's Radics.
O álbum teve o mesmo tipo de êxito que os anteriores. Foi n°1 na Jamaica, Reino Unido, EUA e Canadá, mesmo não sendo tão "grande" quanto ao "M16".

M16 - 1980




Isso mesmo! 1980... M16 veio antes do álbum Rosemarie, e não o contrário.

M16, como o próprio Ranger disse, foi o mais pesado que fez. Acompanhando "Barnabas In Collins Wood" e "Rosemarie". O álbum "On the Other Side of Dub" é diferente: É um clássico de todos os tempos.
M16 tornou-se também n°1 no Canadá, América, Reino Unido, mas não na Jamaica... Somente 2 faixas foram liberadas lá: "M16" e" Fist to Fist Days Done".

Barnabas In Collins Wood - 1979




Lone Ranger gravou em 1975 duas canções: "Get Humble" e "Youth in the Guetto" para a Thrill Seekers Records, que não formam liberados (produzido por Chester Synmoie e gravado pela Treasure Isle). Em 1977 Chester retomou os sons junto com o Channel One & Coxsone Dodd, então em 1978 voltou para a Thrill Seekers Records e gravou seu maior sucesso... "Barnabas Collins" pelo produtor Leon Synmoie, que também foi escrito por Leon Synmoie & Lone Ranger. Esta canção foi "number 1" na Jamaica, América e Europa. "Barnabas Collins" foi liberada pela G-G Records e Island Records e logo depois, em 1979, Ranger lança seu segundo álbum: "Barnabas In Collins Wood".
